I opened the scene in 5.3.2 and here is my performance: It stays pretty consistent like that. I turned the Engine Scalability to cinematic and material quality to epic. In play mode it stays at 60fps. I have two monitors on, they both are at 1920x1080 resolution. If I turn the screen percentage up that tanks the FPS and…
jordank95 Sorry , to show any screenshots I have to ask for permissions but my guess it's pretty typical approach when you do something of macro scale. Buildings for example with unique uv for AO and blend masks , while having repeating base materials . Splat sharers for terrains etc. And decals for wall signatures , small…
old intuos 3 4x6 fits exactly to an eee 701 screen which is esentially a 7" 16:9 screen so an 16:9 7" usb screen does the job really well (+ no controller board needed) disassemble the screen put on intuos fix with tape, put acryl plate on it gives a budged ugly cintiq for somewhat 200 bucks
My 19" CRT just broke. Was a damn fine monitor but I guess I got my money's worth since I had it in use for ~7 years. I'm currently using a crappy 17" monitor with a nasty problem with the blue channel which means I can't do any painting (its picture is as bad as TV so my eyes are starting to hurt just looking at it). So…
Hi everyone, I am currently building a modular kit for my game and ran into a problem with gradient texturing that I do not fully understand yet. My kit consists of many reusable pieces like walls, windows and especially floor tiles. The floor is made out of repeating units, for example 1x1m, 2x2m or 4x4m tiles that are…

Alright, I've been going through BF some time ago to see how they did it and they actually combine 2 methods. One is done like whole screen post process texture over the screen, and another are standard lens flares that are concentrated on showing part of the texture using a mask. Specifically in that garage scene they…
Very cool stuff, I like what your doing here are just some more ideas that you could use for future projects? I'm not very good with words so try not to taker offence please. :3 For the blue screen of death.... The soft gentle blue screen makes me feel like this. :) The actual blue screen of death makes me feel like this.…
I used to work on a 19" monitor, thought it was great. Then I ran a dual 19" setup and that was almost perfect. They were only in the cheaper range, about £130-£150 each. One was a Hanns G and the other a Hyundai (off a friend), both widescreen and the picture quality was decent. HOWEVER, I read a lot of hype about 24"…
this is wrong - DPI doesn't work like this. And a colour image is just four black and white images. The DPI you send to the printer is not the DPI the printer prints at. Most printers will use a line screen to convert your pixels into a number of separations (eg channels). The line screens are essentially black and white…
