Load the offending Bip file, use Move All Mode, and adjust the animation. Press Collapse in the Move All Mode floater and re-save the bip. Move All Mode can be found in the bottom right of the Biped Rollout. You can also use a transition track with the transitions focus on the center of mass. That should prevent it from…
Oh man, missed something extremely important, do NOT use floaters for the fins. I don't know if those are just block ins or what but those aren't the kinds of things you want to float. They will slide like crazy during animation. I feel I've made a tremendous error naming myself dii cause it's always misread -____-
I have a tut on hard surface modeling. It really is about making the lo poly before jumping to the hi poly too soon. Staying low is better and a lot easier in the long run. Really it's just about adding them edge loops and floater geometry. http://www.conradgarcia.com/uploads/1/7/1/7/17178532/sfc_buildingthebishophires.png
whats your plan with this? if you just bake it onto a lowpoly, i would just float the panels and panellines. while it is a nice task to cut these in, and knowing how to do it is crucial. from a productionstandpoint floaters will be SO much quicker in these. for the circle shape just check the "how are you modelling these…
I built a base then did the detailing in Zbrush. I think I'm going to rebuild the fin completely and see if I can get it looking more like it should. As to the little lever, I thought it was a safety at first too, but it's on both sides on the original. I will have it on one side at least, probably as a floater when I bake…
Besides being able to do all that complicated steps with just a few clicks in Max2010, Blender, zBrush or Mudbox there is also a script in TexTools that automates in a very similar way what you did in that video (uses a 2nd UV channel though). it is in the floater. [ame]…
Thanks Ott for helping me out. About laying uvs on top of each other, wouldnt that destroy the AO Map or screw it up? About the floaters, Should I just weld these pieces to thier parent, no matter, what if that stretches the checkerboard I have on there? Isnt stretching a big no no. Sorry for the dumb questions, just…
I use a Logitech mx518 mouse and these are the mouse functions I have mapped to it. delete backspace ring loop connect collapse edge chamfer edge open selection floater open uvw editor open material editor There's more too but they are for specific functions in polyboost or orionflame Some other good ones would probably be…
Optimized a bit more and got it to 3.9k with adding extra geometry where it needed it. Was able to fix all of the waviness, but there's a few things I want to tweak on the high poly model, mostly want to get rid of the floaters so there's no issues baking a cavity map / curvature map. Also the top is doing a lot better…
Schematic View has a couple ways to list instances. 1) Display > Display Floater > turn on Base Objects. Select > Select All. Display > Expand All. Then instances will show in bold, but not if you're zoomed out, cuz bold text changes to regular if it's too small. Boo :( 2) List Views > All Instances. Always works, just not…
