This is really cool. Finding something like that would be a dream come true for me. Urban exploration is a big source of inspiration for me. It's a shame 90% of the comments on that website are whiny unrelated politics rather than about the awesome article.
The urban exploration book Beauty in Decay is my favourite book for environment reference. It's full of arty photos of real, abandoned places, including a bunch from Pripyat. http://www.amazon.com/Beauty-Decay-Urbex-RomanyWG/dp/0955912148
I know a fair amount of people that were working at 10tacle belgium, all good friends, I feel really sorry for them, they worked really hard on Totems, all I hope is that at least Urban Race will be released.
Heh, just saw this posted over on ConceptArt.org, so for any of you who don't visit there, here's a fun link: http://www.r-kelly.com/index_main.html Watch the videos for Trapped in the Closet, part 1 and part 2... it's apparently an "Urban Operetta"... I call it a comedy goldmine!
I third this. I pretty much benched Mistborn, listened to it 24/7, went through the whole trilogy in like 4 days. would also recommend Steel Heart by the same author, if your into more modern/urban stuff.
Thanks! The tires are the easy part. Detailing the rest of the vehicle is very difficult. Also undecided if I want to keep the urban camo or switch to a matte black color scheme. Here's a test render. Tell me what you think.
I'm thinking more of the GTA series, with the urban environments. Some sections are basically a grid, but others are really windy and hilly. I guess the best bet would be to just make a thread for my WIP scene and get some advice.
Actually and unfortunatily the death toll in madeira is up to 48 right now and 32 still missing. In the aftermath there will be a lot of things to blame, the most important being bad urban planning, but I don't think global warming will be one of them.
nice! Props to Klump and Daphz! Makin the urban world a more interesting place one sticker at a time I havent done anything like this in almost a year, but here's some of the stickers I made when I was living in seattle.
kinda underwhelmed its 99.9% like magic the gathering. on the bright side i can almost guarantte that it wont be P2W, since in MtG mechanic card strength are always equal to the mana cost, unlike say.. yugioh and urban rivals
