Hey tkfxity, first of all, good job, especially for your first go at ZBrush! The following are just a few things I would suggest for your next texture but of course this is subjective and also depends on the intended use for the texture: - Try using more than one brick/stone (I know this was only for speed this time) with…
I really like your textures and of course the concepts! What i think it's not great as the 2d work is the 3d when it comes to: silhouettes. Especially the tower stones have in the 3d model just a flat silhouette during the concept has a really stony one. That's what i general don't like at 3D :D
Wooo, that is some sexy wood scluptin! This scene is already pretty sweet, but I have a few nitpicks that may help you.. * I'd say you could have used some more value variation, like making the bits that stick out a bit lighter due to weather/just being worn down. * Some of your objects are very monochromatic (stone, wood)…
Looks like a great start! I think the highlights on the stones might be a bit much? Maybe have a few that bright, but tone the rest down, or blend them out more?

Toned down the contrast values, and fixed up the texture light direction issue on the stones, thanks Wonkey good spotting :) Working on adding a well and some of the other prop suggestions for now.
The ref pic is good because I wasn't sure at first if it was a fantasty/medieval theme or an old farm house kinda thing. So yeah, like Add3r said you should have some consistency between the wood grains for the believability factor. The other thing I would point out is that the shingles have pretty clean craftsmanship…
If you want to quibble over semantics, then sure, piracy isn't stealing, in the strictest sense of the word. However, it is worth pointing out that piracy is probably WORSE than stealing. If you steal a physical object without paying for it, you deprive one other person of the utility that object would provide. This is…
