For the competition I decided to design an awp based on the T-800 Terminator. Thanks to Valve and Polycount for hosting such a special event! :) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=683350326 WIP of the base metal texture: WIP of the eye: Final result:
Okay, look legits for the girl's ref. For the sculpting, most of it was actually done at 20k/80k polys, I added a last subdivide level to get a smoother look. Thanks for the ref, i'll look into that.
For Zbrush is there a student version? Atm I can't afford 800$ for a program that isn't my primary intent to learn but damn The Order team did an amazing job truly spectacular work in that post.
Thanks Talon! Yeah actually googling if 3.5 came with the watermark one led me to a post of yours on the Unity forums. Though 800$ is quite a lot so will mess about with the watermarked one.
400, 600, 800, a billion km/h. Wipeout, Podracer, etc. That general area or ridiculously fast. Also if the thing is 15 meters long and you would pass about a hundred of them in a second, then it's around 600km/h.
It's not always adding a value of .004 that solves it. With the other meshes it ranges between .001 and .008. With one I had to subtract .02 ! I'm baffled by all this, but having a workaround is still a huge thing for me! Thanks again @Obscura ! :)
I'm assuming you meant SLI and not PCI-Express. If so, one can always start with one card and add another later for SLI. I think for an $800 computer one needs to stick with one Graphics Card.
SF is one of the most expensive places to live on this planet. It is utter nonsense to suggest that Irvine rent is on average 800 bucks pricier than San Francisco. That simply isn't true I'm afraid. And no, silicon valley is not San Francisco!
Montreal is a gold spot right now for game devs oppurtunity and good living conditions. You can easily find 2 bedrooms appt. for 700-800$ within reasonable distances from downtown.
