Thanks for this and future tutorials, have to check this out when I have the time, thanks I skimmed through it and it seems very informative can't wait for the shader write up! Still love that sagat model.
Started to work on a scene setup. (Future portoflio piece hopefully) I'll be doing interiors of the house and maybe a character design. Two quick establishing thumbs. Any feedback on the composition, or the scenes in general would be appreciated.
Texture looks awesome. The edges on your high poly were way too sharp though, so it didn't bake very well. It's a shame because it is a nice model. Just keep it in mind for future projects.
Coolness, this is totally awesome. I'm blown away by the logic of this and how it works. Definitely the right solution. And for all bone setups. Thanks for the wisdom :) If you guys don't mind I'm saving these demonstrations for reference in future
Yeah, I keep my PSD and source assets in an AssetsSource beside the Assets directory and save everything out to 16bit PNG for Unity. Didn't know about the dot trick, I'll keep that in mind in future :)
I think that looks pretty good :) In future, you could always have a look at Interior Mapping. Although the material network can get a bit mental. That and it's probably just better to model the interior :D
Some updates and changes made to my portfolio. I have made some progress over the past month and have more updates to include in the future! Any critiques are welcomed!=) Portfolio: http://dontehawkins.wixsite.com/portfolio
i downloaded the free sdk a month ago and brushed a bit through the editor and documentation and also came to the conclusion that the licensing is too "nebulous" to consider and decided to stick with udk/unity/flash for any future projects.
Well thanks for the help Noren, but I found another fix for it. I simply started over in a fresh max scene, and have had zero issues now. I'll keep your suggestions in mind for the future :)
Hey cool glad to hear you dont see that anymore! Very kin of 80.lv to write that up and help spread the word. I will be doing more of those in the future so be on the look out for announcements!
