aye. I'm jumping in to the generator texture as we speak. Thanks for all the advices as well. I'll keep this all in mind as I continue to model the figure. My goal is to keep it simple, and representative of a figure. Shrouding a figure in cloth is kindof a cheat to avoid modeling a full character. And yes, Stimpack, it…
Yeah, but if E3 continues at a smaller level, don't you think they'll still want you to put together some sort of demo? Honestly, I don't know... I'm just assuming the same pressures would still be there. One thing to note though, the people attending didn't necessarily make it a circus. The venders/companies did that.
Thanks guys. Already checked those threads out. I can make a hole in the model....the thing I'm having trouble with is the amount of intersecting edge loops which interfere with the symmetry of the circle created. There are 2 hard surface edges which run right through the hole and continue down the frame....which is making…
Because it feels like publishers are letting talented developers go just because they stumbled, by stomping on their hands until they let go and fall, When they instead could give them a hand so they could get up and continue making cash for the publisher. Every developer will have its bad day, even the best ones.
After some sculpting, I gave the Handplane software a go for the first time. Textures came out as expected for a first bake, and I like the user interface! The AO felt like it took longer than expected, but I should probably do a proper comparison to confirm that. I look forward to continue using it to finish this project!
@Rmunday I appreciate the response! I have to agree, being surrounded by a team of people who are all helpful and masters of what they do will likely benefit you anyways, nonetheless the day I land a job like that I'll be both excited and terrified. Are you looking for a studio job or do you want to continue freelance?
I can't pay monthly? I have to lock in to a full year? That doesn't appeal to me at all, I would rather continue paying for each individually when the odd one comes out that I am interested in. I can see how it would be great for studios who want their artists to have access to it though.
The gargoyle fetish continues eh? ;D I would really recommend you take a step back from doing gargoyles with crazy proportions and learn human anatomy. Once you have human anatomy down, you can come back and your gargoyles will be sure to have much more solid looking musculature.
ngghhhhhhhh fucking love populous. nghhhhh I heard project dust and thought it may be a continuation of Phantom Dust, but this is even better. I played the hell out of populous when i was like 8 or whatever and it is by far one of my favorite games ever, and anything like it on today's tech could only be a good thing.
Hah, I dig the final result. Texture has a nice quality to it. Could we see the texture flats? As a crit I'd have to say the black around her neck seems lower res and not given as much attention as the rest of it. It doesn't really have the sharpness you continued everywhere else. Good work man. :-)
