Here are the options (problem has been solved) - Use the dota 2 client and it overwrites - Use dota 2 test and use different names. - Clear all of the data from dota 2 test in the content folder or something. If there are any other ways please write it here
the way i think i solved it was to save the original image as a dds and let photoshop generate the mips first, then reopening it in photoshop (including mipmaps) and paste in my custom mips on the corresponding layers. resaving with custom mips worked while saving didn't. no clue why though.
#1: :/ I dont know, maybe #2 might help. #2: you might have "masked" the vertices when you might have pressed ctrl during the retopo. if you unmask(while still doing the retopo) on an empty area, it might solve your problem.
That's actually what I have been trying to do but it seems that my file was corrupted and wont let me open it anymore. I am going to try to recreate it and try the process again but if anything goes wrong or I solve the problem, I will keep everyone updated!
some progress on the ogre set remake (not happy with the belt and dno with the helm - lets see if can solve that in the next days) and a courier based on a bulgarian mythology creature: Karankoncolos a very hairy mixture between an irish gnome and a boogieman from hell :/ here the first visual brainstorming:
I've seen this before but I'm not sure what causes it. It looks crazy like that, but just fine in smooth preview. Usually when this happens to me Maya is about to crash. I believe I solved it by deleting history and combining the object with some other object like a cube.
Ah, I didn't think about that. Thank you very much, that should solve that problem. Does anyone have any idea if the model that I am using is correct? I'll feel much better about starting this if I know that I'm using the right base.
nice! yep pretty much solves my problems right there. wonder if theres gonna be an update for 2011, currently only works for 09. god damn maya n its lack of modeling tools.everything has to be a script @pedro: hmm not sure, i'l look into it tomorro tho
Actually it is a "create shape from selection" spline. I think thats also the reason why it is so stretched, because my vertices of my control mesh aren't evenly distributed, didn't thought about it. Anyways, to refine the spline solved the problem. Thanks Vig&imperator
got the same probs in mal 2009 too - already tried it. :/ anyone got a good idea how to solve this or knows a good "hand selection" script? tried the ones i found on scriptspot - one didnt work and the other only works with 4 fingers and one thumb.
