yea, this is what Im seeing everywhere, meaning I gotta join an outsourcing company or go freelance to do the work I love. Which sucks big time as theres no job security. real shame on the boom blox team. Its tough times at the moment for everyone :( -

Like what earthquake say, I currently using Marmoset toolbag 2 for preview for my freelance job for an client using Unreal 4, it is very powerfull tools for artist to understand the PBR workflow. Btw it is on 30 percent sales now, grab it before too late! -

If your goal is to do some freelance work as well as work in Unity, I would recommend looking at Modo first. You wont really face the kind of limitations that come with Maya LT, and it will cover all your bases in one package. It plays nicely with Unity as well. -

Sure ninja, easy, But even if your client dont care were u from, You still have to get a work visa from the country you will be working from, (if you dont have citizenship there that is, And that, for a freelancer, aint always a piece of CAKE! sad sad sad! -

Well, to be sincere, all games i´ve participated until now I didn´t get any credits because i´m a freelancer, so, I don´t think this is bad if you show into your portfolio later the work you did on that game. -

I have seriously never heard of games artists carrying business cards in the uk. If you were a freelance commerical artist then yeah, but if you are woking in games, then there seems not much point really as the company would be sellig its own corporate image, not that of individual artists surely?
