There are a few heroes with short fur, such as Brewmaster, that you can use for reference. I would say that less detail is better. The zip and potentially some stitches, plus the fact that it's clearly a teddy bear, should sell that the bear is covered in short fur without you having to define the texture too much! -

Pretty certain that isn't Snatch... however I have been known to be wrong. Just doesn't quite fit for me ... although definately some kind of Cockney film. Never saw that other Guy Ritchie film... erm Rock a Fella or what ever it is called - any chance its that? :o -

I was just thinking of the matrix, I do think they look good overall but the quality between the guns vary alot. When displaying them like this you could definately work the metal materials a bit more on some of the weapons, some on the other hand has really nice surfaces to them. -

Very cool work so far! One thing that stands out is the inconsistent fat distribution. The neckline and bulk of the head suggests he is very skinny and he bone structure is well defined, but his eyebrows, nose, forehead, and area above the mouth suggest a more fatty distribution, especially with the creasing. -

Yeah, that makes sense, since the 'look' of metal is defined by reflectivity, and I have noticed that the presence/ placement of reflection captures makes a big difference, almost as much as that of a light. Plus like I said, since they are currently mostly surrounded by blackness, its hard to judge the look yet I guess. -

usually this type of cork gets a coat of varnish, so that's why it's shiny. I would say though, that the scratches on the red box are very gamey. Too soft and not defined at all. Make them more sharp and with proper form, or tone them down. Something to be realistic doesn't need to be covered in wear. -

This is looking really good. Don't be afraid to add a bit of definition to her thighs and waist. The tie on an obi, while thick and often rigid, will bring in the waist of the wearer and the clothing. Also remember to define muscles, especially the thigh muscles. It's coming along well though, and can't wait to see more… -

Because design is as defined a role as programming or art but there seems to be a real lack of information out there on how to become a designer. Are they currently one material? Have you tried defining the two rock parts, and the glass type material as two different materials within a multi-material? So one material will applied to the rock using normal parameters, while the other material will be applied to the glass type material and us the alpha settings.
