I think the yellow light in the top left would be more visually interesting, but the material colors in the bottom left look more realistic. So maybe keep your materials tame and go crazy with lighting? It is scify after all.
I'm going to be a realist and say i think its too lat, i'm still trying to get in after 1.5 year both because i love to model and not too many choices for me since i have a degree in it
Maybe set up an ebay alert for the part? My experience buying used LCD control boards and other monitor parts is that the buy it now prices are totally unreasonable but when they get listed for auction it will go for a more realistic value.
I was referring to realistic modelling. As for the background not matching I think it's because the gun and wall got some solid wear and tear going on, then there is the although blurry, still what looks like a a clean city landscape that doesn't add up.
looking pretty good but I have to say that the palms of his hands look pretty jacked. The inset you have between the area where the wrist connects and the fingers looks super deep and not very realistic (even for a fantasy character).
Yeah, the wood looks more organic atm than it does in the concept - though I quite like it. I guess it depends on how realistic you want the style to end up. But it's looking great so far, keep it up!
That's some solid anatomy right there. I've never played The Legend of Zelda, though from concept art, it appears to be on-point. My only suggestion is to add more of a "sharpness" to the feet. The more realistic approach really works here, however.
aw man the fps is such shit on xbox.. I really hope they have a patch, its almost unplayable. Fun game though, the guns feel really powerful and its nice when enemies die realistically in 1-2 hits
Doom was my first game too, I remember playing with my brother - one was shooting and another was moving haha. One time I was left alone and it was extremely realistic and scary with all the monsters - textures and everything looked photoreal!
Sounds to me like they might have a new project that requires a more realistic art style in the works. Or, they could be seeing how you do outside of your comfort zone. Smaller companies require artists that can "do it all"
