This is looking really good so far. Really good work on your diff and spec, they look very nice. The only crit I have is that the doors look very clean compared to the walls.
konstruct, roosterMAP - Thanks! I have some small distortions to fix in the normal, but I think this will work. Now to rebuild the diffuse and spec...
the valkyrie is awsome i digg it! Just a little thing work harder on your spec map it would had a lot of details in your models But good job i really really like it!
The content is pretty good, but I'm not a fan of "bevel/emboss + erase" especially on brick. You might want to check the spec map on some of those human/organic models they seam a bit metallic.
And heres the final with Diffuse,Spec and Normal it has a lightmap as well but i kept if off for show purposes. Im considering making an old gas station environment and making a few other things.
You should also be able to bake your colour/spec/AO maps as well. Are you planning a more geo based system for up close views, or will people never get that close?
I guess like the dude that just specced up a machine in the other thread, I'm looking @ around 800 quid, maybe 900 all in, so I guess for the monitor, around 150ish.
if you have access to tf2 assets i recomend you to study them thoroughly , diffuse, spec etc , that will give you ideas on how to treat gunmetal etc on their engine :) good luck !
interesting portfolio! :) ! btw for marines, i think there is too much spec on his pant. also the first head texture has obvious seam on the back. otherwise, keep up the good work!
