I meant like the item set for Razor is mostly finished. The tris are within workshop requirements so thats part of the reason why my model doesnt match my concept exactly. I also don't have sculpting software like zbrush or mudbox so I did the best I could but I'm still pretty inexperienced with this. Only original Razor…
Ha, I don't have a blog so I have no idea who's paintings you were looking at... Definitely weren't mine though, I don't really paint. Most of what I have to show in 3D are TF2 items at the moment. Otherwise most of my work has been level design/scene compositing for Source although I've done a bit of modeling for those…
Don't bother Dynameshing and sculpting the rope and hanging paper. You can jsut do that as a detail plane in the low poly and save yourself the time. ZBrush can deal with multple meshes that are NOT fused together in one scene. You can import each piece of your full item separately as separate meshes as they show in Maya.…
thanks for the feedback so far, yeh the face isn't really going to be seen so didn't want to go crazy on it. And ye I see what you mean about the helmet. reason its there is its suppose to be a little like hunger games where they have sponsors sending them better gear to survive longer, so I was trying to get an…
Yeah it's pretty daunting sometimes but we're definitely going to finish it, actually it's basically there and in terms of core tech we just need to finish quests. Of course there's more characters monsters items etc and just general polish after that but it feels like there's an end now and I'm really pleased how it's…
I've sneaked up on plenty of unsuspecting blokes. If they're looking at the radar while they're on their way to an objective, then they spot me. Usually they aren't though. So I drop kick them with a slug and a rifle shot in the back (after I emp their face off). By the time they see me, they're already almost dead. The…
Thanks so far. I'm not sure which hot spots you mean. If it is the pillars, then it is because there will be light sources placed there as soon as I have made the items - and that will be a very closely set light source to the top of the pillars. As for not splitting up the images into categories, then I did that since the…
There were a ton of these rpg's back in the days, but it's basically a party-based roleplaying experience set in a maze like world (the layout that is) with some puzzles here and there, hidden passages and traps, and lots of leveling, items and monster-killing like you'd expect in a crpg. They're tons of fun once you get…
Well I was planning to make this a really realistic piece, however after applying just simple colours to it I really like the cartoonish look it took on. Going to keep it like this for now, and then in the future I may go back and improve on it and make it look realistic Might go ahead and make a chainsword next, just to…
I did this with max 9 for my dominance war entry, my recommendation is on each object and select all polys and set a material id eg. head = 1, torso = 2 etc etc then attach all and in uvw unwrap modifier you can select which material ID at the bottom of the display window and this lets you unwrap individual items much…
