rappatools has a feature that can do that... if you don't have rappatools3 you can get the old free one http://remusjuncu.com/maxscripts/#rappatools2 that also has that feature :) see the tooltip for the World button... it's the distanceTool...
i was goina play a bit before goin into work this morn, been tryin to get in a server for an hour, he needs some better auth servers, has he got a donation button to help him out?
I like the way you are approaching this, still a bit early to give much crit, one thing that looks a little weird to me is the belly button area, even for stylized I'd like a bit more refinement.
It'll be interesting to see UI start getting designed around working on 1080p to 4k monitors. I'd imagine you could just put most of the button on the left because there's so more more real estate.
For future reference; There's an edit button at bottom right of your posts between "report" and "quote"... Which you've clearly found since the topic has been edited already... so why make multiple replies to yourself? :(
ohh men, this is looking great i don`t really have any CC to give cuz all looks like a MAKE AWESOME ART button and that thing popped out. Subscribed and waiting for more updates.
I think if you click on the top post, right corner there's a edit button, only in that one you can change the name of the topic, id say to remove your name and put the concept of what you are drawing :)
Use textools! http://www.renderhjs.net/textools/ In the texel density part, you can type in your values. If 1 unit = 1 centimeter in your scene, type 64 / 100 and right click the get / set button.
Rendering->Render Surface Map provides a "Cavity Map" button, but this tool might produce wrong renderings in some Max versions ( i think Max 2013). Seems to be a bug ... And it works on Edit Poly only AFAIK
There's a button that looks like a sheet of paper in the toolbar above the space where you type your reply, reading "Attach image/file". Click the arrow and you'll be able to paste images from websites in your post.
