WIP 26 Blocking in Textures in Substance Designer. Also spent time creating fabric substance materials for this and others. Missing elements: - Fingernails - Frayed Jean edges - Rig and Pose - Move the face closer to Johanna Sotomura's likeness. Does anyone have any critiques about where it is at now? -

Still no start then.....wow. @autocon. yeah, I'd love to see and environment and character, but maybe also vehicles competition brief. Allow people to chose what to do and maybe at the end all the elements could be brought together if styles matched. I'd love to see something that could be collaborated at the end. -

I use this technique to make foliage, I make an Atlasses for all the different elements so I only have to back one set. However you could have a mask map for different texture sets and use that to composite but I think putting everything in an atlas would be easier. -

Id imagine the error would come up there as well. Try duplicating the planes as elements of a mesh rather than as new nodes. best to see if this works first, I've seen it suggested quite a few times but as i say I havent tired it. (I never seem to work with alphas) -

cute successful recreation! I would like to see less floating geometry especially if your planning on rigging and posing him. try keeping it all one element if possible. some debate this but it helps keep clipping/piercing while animated to a minimum. love that squishy look you nailed it -

Hey sock , the idea of using the body colors on the helm as u did is interesting . As I dont really like the helm from your drawing (design wise) , I made a version using the elements u had on the concept sheet . We will talk about percentage and stufs later :) cheers -

The main difference between Gothic and Roman Architecture are the walls. In Roman architecture walls are carrying element resulting in thick walls. In Gothic architecture the walls are thin and the pillars, pointed archs and the gothic butress conduct the forces in the ground. My only critique are the walls they look very… -

@lockey1995 The most optimal way would be trim sheets for a staircase, yes, since there is plenty of repeating elements. What you referred to in the first post, the sheet with tons of different details that don't flow together, is known as a decal sheet. Which can be used to just float details onto meshes. -

http://twitpic.com/b0zidt Meet Gaige, the Mechromancer, and her pet Deathtrap. One of her skills is called "make it sparkle". Deathtrap attacks with it's claws, dealing normal damage. With Make it Sparkle, if you shoot Deathtrap with any type of elemental, it's claws will then do that type of ele damage. Pretty cool! -
