Hey broseph, If this was my character, I wouldnt normal map it. The folds you have look excellent... if you are going for the style you have in your drawing, I'd say dont use normal maps, use a great texture., and give it a reasonably high tri count...maybe around 5000 to 6000...I worked on a half life mod, and characters… -

Exactly, composite vs RGB, since regular scarts don't do 60hz even if the tv does it, so side effects are black and white, get an rgb scart cable. -

i7 is a quadcore with hyperthreading cpu... so basically it shows up as an 8 core cpu. You can skip the dual 9800GTs and go for a single GTX 280 or 295 card... I think that's a whole lot more power than 2 9800s... the new line of NVIDIA cards are dual core GPUs, meaning they have 2 video processors on 1 card. I have a 1 gb… -

I use a Intuos 2 9X12 tablet with the stock pen, I paid $600-700 canadian 2 years ago (I would of gotten a 6X8 instead, but I had money to blow...), however it's cheaper these days. I haven't had a problem with Fraps, but yes a well defragmented hard-drive and a dual core is definitely beneficial for it (as with any real-time video capture tool in general). I've seen 1024x768 video recorded cleanly at 60fps with sound on such machine. It uses the currently selected recording input device for the sound.
