it's an example of generating some nice terrain as a mesh instead of a terrain system, this can be adapted to any engine I believe. -

We created out own Xref system because of all this. Not live referencing though, only after export, in the game. -

Wel in max 2009 the render is 100% on my dual core system when using scanline so guess they improved that :) -

You need to set language for non-unicode programs to russian from regional & language options/administrative/system locale
