Haha, deffinatly not a bad idea. You've got a decent starting point though. I'd suggest working on tradition art though. It will help your texturing hugely. The sooner you start adding edge loops the more you have to move stuff around to form the face. Block out the landmarks first… -

I mean use the move tool to play around with the sphere and make it, well not a sphere. Start blocking things out as a whole head. Bamboo is small and has less pressure levels, IIRC. Intuos starts at 6x8 (what I use mainly) and has 1024 levels of pressure.
