discussing is fine, not liking something is also fine its just hate for no other reason than to hate that i dont understand, its actually funny to me, one shot of film comes out and everyone is crying that their world is ruined and its horrible and they were raped and force fed diarrhea through a straw.
Enslaved was an awesome experience. The gameplay was shallow and bland, but the story and cinematics were awesome. Pretty sure Enslaved was originally intended to be a film made in the Unreal Engine, but they were told or changed their mind and made a game instead. The Devil May Cry reboot was pretty sweet too: hit a nice…
Crysis 2 AI was HORRIBLE. But then Crytek has always had the exact same terrible AI since Far Cry. Shoot a guy, everyone gets on alter, wait like 20seconds, alter drops and they just go back to business with the dead body chilling there. Second the awesome praise for the first FEAR game
Agreed. Unreal is supper easy to use an d there are a ton of tutorials for it. I am looking forward to seeing the Far Cry Editor though. Saw the demo and looked amazing for creating levels not sure though what hoops will have to jump through to bring custom content in. If it is as easy as Unreal I will be playing with it a…
Looks nice, I could definitely see this fit well into something like far cry 2. The big issue I see is that it feels a bit splotchy, like you put a random cloud filter in the spec map. I think it is a bit too noticeable, especially if I can pick it out.
I have never found a real solution, even though I've been using Sandbox for quite some time. I've noticed that those issues are most obvious when you try to blend two textures which are distinctively different in terms of colour, saturation and brightness. Tiles resolut ion, affects only the textures in the background, not…
To everyone using Spider monitor calibration devices, just scrap them. (I hate them with a passion) You guys are artists for crying out loud, trust your eyes and calibrate your own monitors! And if you need to tweak contrast, sharpness, etc, defo use this site: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
*crys* that is the nicest thing any one has ever said, lol, still, got a long ways to go to be as good as all of you (being pro's alot of you, and actualy make money as consept artist and 3d modelers), well best way to improve is to get advice from the top; well that and actual practice
This is looking great. A couple things that stand out to me are how your blacks seem too monochromatic. Try pulling them up with a dark hue, a little color grading for the shadows. A little fog would go a long ways to add depth in the scene. The first shot in your last post especially, but the others too. Rainy days are…
jesus, excuse me, i wasnt trying to insult anyone, i just think that this style better suites my style of art. But seriously, i think it's a bit simpler to make a cartoony character than a photorealistic character. Which one of these concepts would take longer and overall be harder to make? that being said, i don't think…
