Yes, bevel is still terrible. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?id=12331406&siteID=123112&SelProduct=FBX I've logged it a couple of times but the more we get complaining about it the more chances we can see of it being fixed.
Keep it up! I love watching your vimeo vids. I have seen them all a couple times. It's awesome seeing how different people work. I wish more people kept video logs of different work sessions.:)
http://vimeo.com/15500637 Sadly, my most recent wip is at the end of this video. I'm struggling a bit with it, Crits welcome. And i just wanted to thank everyone here for their comments, i've read and log away every single one. Thanks a bunch
Benpoo: That face makes me so happy. The eyes especially. :O Oh and i second piors saying, i was gonna say something to you the next time i logged on to the msn, but i got lazy. I should stop doing that... :|
Ah yes, I use this LUT with Log function as well. But recently I saw someone worked with Sensitometric + sRGBf that was almost as good as ACES so I'm wondering how much other options out there, and may there is a better one than what I use.
Check your event viewer > application logs, might be able to get some more info. Hard to suggest much more. Uninstalling can leave residual files, if you try to reinstall again be sure to manually hunt down everything and delete it by force.
I'll think about it, but first I need to to check one of the most stupid thing : how to launch the map without the launcher asking you to log in (if that's even possible). And then it would be more "navigate in it" than "play it", as there isnt any gameplay set or so :p
Like everyone has said... Great Work! I am by no means any type of follower of FX work, but man... I had to log in just to say how awesome the progress has been on your portfolio! Extremely professional work! Awesome job!
gate. might spruce this up with some details, or just use some alpha maps. arched door window 1 window 2 anvil. will be in front of blacksmith shop on top of an old weathered log. Should I bake this or just go with the low poly?
Yup. I didnt have xnormal installed but you should be able to copy what the log spits out and replace the path (look into the file command. Believe you can query the scene name and do some string manipulation) and append the layer name.
