Stilized hand painted knife I made for practice. I've been doing a lot of realistic stuff lately so it was nice to take a break an do something like this. You can see the original post with a Marmoset Viewer here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/v6AeY Concept from Becca Hallstedt
A quick tileable texture in Zbrush to test the workflow. Took the sculpt to Designer to add more colors and check the result. I really like this workflow so far, but I will redo the sculpt and make it more realistic and fleshed out.
Thanks for your response, I agree that I still have to refine the skin, which shows to much of the brush stroke. The fact is that I'm not sure if I'm going with just a clay render or if I should make a realistic skin.
I wouldn't call RAGE a failure by any means, but realistically. Who thought it would be a good idea to break in a new game IP during the Uncharted/MW3/Battlefield3/ArkhamCity/DarkSouls release window??? It's a genuine marketing failboat.
Done. For what it's worth, I don't have a hard-set preference between realistic or stylized art (and I don't think the two are mutually exclusive); I tend to be more attracted to things that do their chosen style well.
As far as I'm aware pressure sensitivity isn't possible on the ipad. There are various Stylus' (Styli?) for the ipad though - including a Wacom one. I agree that Art Rage seems to blend and create realistic painterly looks very well.
There's no point in waiting, really.. Quixel is only a tool.. there's no "make awesome" button in there. You could start with a smaller prop to get started with PBR. There's tons of documentation around (; You could go for a realistic lift truck while you're at it.
Aha that is nice. One thing wouldn't it be better if the gray metal part on the bottom also has some scratches etc? The red part looks awesome with the scratches on it because it makes it seem a lot more realistic. Great job!
40 dollar for 10 realistic looking cars in 10 days ,you think we are poor labour's , I charged 100 dollar for 3 guns and took 1 month to make them because we belive in perfection..
great work man! totally agree on uploading the animations i think chris radsby just means the lips are pulled up and out but not pulled back to support her smirk, it looks sorta unnatural. realistic smiles are tough
