@Shirk I agree. Made some major changes to the rocks with this in mind. Thanks for the advice! @Doxturtle I've done about 8 or so sculpts trying to find a rock style that fits the scene. Currently saving the big rock for last as I think it'll be the most important. Thanks for the crit man!

Much better. As for my favourite, the top picture. White on blue is the traditional colours for cel shaded water. Finally, the jagged edges really bug me. Is that something you can fix? edit: Why not try combining both. See pic: http://images.wikia.com/zelda/images/8/8c/Salvage_Corp.png
wow great miauu, can't wait to test it. I see that this is just a beta and not final but here are some suggestions. Can't you use edge distance for the soft selection, setting it something like the number of edges in the bridge divided by 8. Also can't we have an interactive relax with all it's options.
High fantasy RPG - lots of beginners want to make RPGs Retro - vectrex/8-bit/whatever FPS - weapons, tanks, destroyed enviro, etc. Remember you are selling to people who want to make games, not gamers. Gamers love sports games, but not many indies make sports games.
It's $10/hour, which comes out to 20k annually for a 40 hour work week, though it is a temporary job that would only last 6 months, 8 or 9 at most. I am still trying to discuss it with them, so I will let you guys no what happens. Thanks for the help.
I can't speak to that particular frame but I've had an f600 Cannondale mountain bike for 8 years and it's still in great shape after a lot of use. I've replaced all the original parts as they wear out but the headshock is still in-tact. I got a Cannondale as their replacement policy is supposed to be really good.
Took me a year after school, though I was kind of meandering and wasn't really directed towards games. Once I found direction, it took probably 8 months? It was 6 Months of 'Folio building and 2-3 months of applications. Even when you're in, it takes a lot of effort to stay in.
Yeah normally portfolios will only have 5-8 pieces, or sections if the artist wants to split it up that way. That mosaic example uses around 25, which no one would do, for our purposes anyway. This coupled with smart thumbnailing mean people would have no trouble finding specific work.
The difference is the number of colors the panel can display, with 6bit you would be more likely to see banding on a gradient than with 8 bit. Probably more important for work where color accuracy is crucial, like print work. For game art, I doubt there would be more than a marginal difference.
