[ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhhKKAeVwPg"]Let's Play Folk Tale - Season #1 - Episode #1 - Gameplay - YouTube[/ame] I thought I'd share this since no one has in general discussion. Looks decent.
I tried to bake it merged with the full viking shield and I tried it to bake it in 2 bakeing groups (1 with the shield and 1 only with the bolts) but I got this issue in both trys
It could be that the uvs are flipped vertically. You have two choices: 1) Flip or scale the uvs by -1 on the v-axis. 2) Flip the texture vertically in photoshop or in the bitmap coordinates in max.
Oh, so each following row would increase by 1 object (probably)? assuming we start off the array at 0 then adding 1 to the following row and so on and so forth....?
Thats a great idea! It's always interesting to see how someone decides to capture the essence of an established character when a 1-1 transition is virtually impossible. I would totally be up for that.
The only thing thatis limiting you is that the lightmaps UV (the second UV) must be in the 1:1 space. It can't go outside. Other then that, go wild and post your problems on Polycount.
You can also go to the lights settings and change min roughness to 1. This way the light kinda loses its specularity since it behaves like it was hitting a surface with roughness of 1.
If your expecting to follow tutorials on a 1:1 ratio as you watch it..your going to be dissapointed all the time. Eat 3d tutorials are pretty solid...I have a few myself.
