So... secret to happiness is horribly injure yourself? I think I can manage that... where are some power tools? Seriously though, awesome that things are turning out so good for you, br00m. :)
Custom effects are nice and all, but it shouldn't take over the initial cosmetic. Therefor it should be subtle and not over power the set. I'm sucker for ribbon vfx but nice and small vfx can look good.
It won't be wireless, I am not sure if you can power-up and record the faceshift camera with some DIY. And a GoPro camera is completely wireless shooting at 60fps, pretty cute. Also it's light and small =)
This. nDo is a very awesome and powerful tool and its free :) If your trying to create a heightmap from a photo source, this article might be worth a read. http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/9046/normalmapminitutrf7.jpg
Totally agree with this! Good work in the recreation field, but yeah I also would love to see this same scene with the whole power of UE4 nad pushed as far as you can. Maybe a differente project :)
"You're Goddamn right!" I did a bunch of corrections, adjusted the overall face proportions and completely remade the skin shader. And now, powered by more beard! :) Rendered in Octane. I hope you like it!
yeah but keep making stuff regularly and sooner or later you'll be pulled towards larger projects anyway this might be a typo but if not, consider sticking with valid power of 2 sizes ( so 256 not 248 ) for textures
You could also probably do a shape like this pretty fast with 3d Coat voxels, although it would take more system power during the creation process than traditional SDS modeling.
You can select multiple objects and put an Unwrap UVW modifier on them so that it affects them as if they were one. That'll give you the power you need to edit both at the same time.
I've made a blueprint to create fairy lights across a spline. I think it's really cool and I can certainly see the power and versatility in something like this. Password: GA https://vimeo.com/246015069
