In this case, you wouldnt share textures either. You would have an unwrap containing the skin parts, and another one for everything else. -

Working on some variation of the cargo containers and their respective carts. Focused on the universal bits which I'll probably reuse across all the carts. -

I noticed that all the Namarti wear garbs with various patterns across them but all contain a sigil which also resides on their forehead. -

Alright final concept I'm done with this, time to start sculpting, he's bulkier and now contains 100% more terrible foreshortening and shading. -

That's because OBJ files don't contain any rigging/skin weighting data. It's purely format for models. FBXs do include that data.
