You go to an Art Institute, Apophis? This is very similar to a project my me and my classmates are working on, art deco buildings. Edit: Hehe, nevermind just checked your profile. I wouldn't worry too much about making this building look "stucco" unless you're going to have some close up shots (you can't tell at this…
Looks great so far. Not really sure about the fog though. It's too opaque with no depth. Some low-lying fog might be better. Something like this, maybe? Really liking the skybox and lighting right now though. Could you show us that a little better?
Thanks guys! I agree, the lighting/mood definitely needs more work. Could be looking flat because it's mostly skylight right now with very little moonlight. There's a strong blue post process tint which might need toning down a little too. Will look into it! :)
Thanks for the feedback! You might be right about that wrist Rowanos. I did take a few liberties with the sculpt, but if I get a chance to go back to it I can adjust it a bit. anglorum, I agree about the lighting. Could have been a little more dramatic!
ok so, i just re-did the lighting to sort out the massive orange problem in the other tunnel (it's half worked, there isn't any oraange glow over there now, but the point lights over there are still not working right) and it's caused another problem. It seems that for the previous images, the emissive for the lights is set…
The easiest way to do this in Max is to - put your model on a plane - add a skylight to the scene (anywhere, it doesn't matter) - turn on Light Tracer (Rendering > Advanced Lighting > Light Tracer) The defualt settings on the skylight and light tracer will work fine. If you want it to render faster, lower the number of…
Your doing phenomenal. Just exquisite from where I'm standing. Your use of warm colors and the feeling is overwhelming and definitely keeps me on my toes. The way you painted your materials is doing very well, metal, cloth, and skin. But, I've begun to notice some issues. One thing is that your trying to duplicate the same…
Cool stuff, thanks for the info! Yeah I'm actually using purely dynamic lighting for these videos (no baked global illumination), due to the possibility that it might look strange when having baked shadows when a lot of the objects might be moving. I'd love to try out some baked lighting setups and possibily baked…
First off, you have a really cool scene going here. The cryochamber model is especially nice. Good work! I agree. There are too many glowing things competing for attention. I would tone them down or remove some. I would shift the blue slightly toward green, away from a strictly complimentary color scheme. I would use the…
^^I have to say, I think adding some warm colours Is high on my thoughts for this project right now. After a week long headache, I can finally get back to this again. Toyed with the idea of whiter lighting, but it just didn't look right, the light blue tone really helps with the feel of the environment. The AI core has…
