Fuuuuuuuu- these textures are such eye candy. I mad jelly. I really like how you did the rocks. And the underbelly of the roadrunner looks so soft and fluffy! Only thing I would add is maybe some alpha cards on the chest of the roadrunner to make it a bit fluffier
Seeing the drill you did earlier inspired me to make a bunch of tools, my dad has a load of random tools and equipment in his garage and I wanted to do a set of them in 3D! Looks like we're going to be doing very similar projects haha.
Hi BradMyers8w thanks for the feedback and yes the lion head will be used as a base mesh in zbrush also I think it looks triangulated because I did not add a smoothing group to it in Max when I rendered it out will do another render with smotthing group to show it better.
Here's a materials update. I did a second pass on the skin to tighten it up a bit, I may need to add more grime. The neck cloth still needs to be moved to fit more loosely. Also tweaking the face. I need some feedback on the pants and leather.
Did you have MRGB enabled when you added the stitching? Delete the layer, disable MRGB, recreate the layer with the stitching. Layers can behave strangely when dealing with polypaint. Also, when creating detail on layers you should always add it at the highest subdiv.
Yeah, I just got back from seeing this one. Fantastic flick. Definate addition to the DVD collection once its released. I did not really enjoy Sin City as a movie, although visually it was spectacular, I enjoyed 300 across the board. Very entertaining.
to add to the rant they have slowly but surely have made max worse than it was in say max 9... shift click screwed with, and omg that default uvw unwrap modifier... just adopt what renderhjs did and call it a day, but no, it can't be done... Caddies on the other hand, priceless.
Reviews have been great for this and it has always looked nice. Also wow - just 5 people in the team. Do you plan to add coop? I'd love to play this with my wife. Should have been on a launch imo. Did you use Alloy shaders?
Did a lot of work on the spec map, also trying to add some more color to the bare metal but I am not sure what or where it should go, right now it is just some green that is warn off in the middle.(green was a main color for crates in quake 4)
