My wife is a wedding photographer, and I shoot with her about 20 weddings a year. I always process my own photos from the weddings so I have quite a bit of experience with photo manipulation. This photo is NOT faked, IMO. I think perhaps a little dodging was done to bring out the subjects in the foreground, and that's it.…
And this thread just took a turn down ugly st. So when is it ok to discribe someone? I mean is it ok to discribe someone to another person? Or can we now only refer to people by last name and serial number? "You know Ben? The really tall guy?" "What do you mean by that, you got something agaist tall people!? You know they…
I think the big problem with the backgrounds is they they are distracting, well mostly the first one with the insect, because they don't seem integrated with the characters presentation. The backgrounds seem like they were slapped on a Photoshop layer and were put behind the characters so there would be something there. I…
YOu'll cycle thru the layers of polygons if you keep clicking in the same spot. With the first click it tries its best to figure out what you want, the second click it goes one layer under it, and so on for each additional click. Sometimes you have to cycle all the way though to get back on top. sucks I know but thats how…

Stacked UV's? As in stacking UV shells that are the same or mirrored copies on top of each other? You would want them to share exactly the same space, probably with one of them offset one tile so it still lands in the same spot but doesn't interfere. So are we talking about actual stacked UV's or are we talking about…
Always expect each one of your files, object in files, layers in files, etc. to be looked at or worked on by someone else. Name and prepare accordingly, seeking not to become hated by these artists. That should fix things. Welcome to art lead-land. Extra pet peeve to add: Have some friggin balls about collapsing psd…
I wrote one a few years ago, slow as hell now (was for a Quake Engine editor). I remember I did it by getting all the faces, triangulating and printing out to file. You don't have to triangulate, just made the math easier. Like to get the faces I'd do something like: string TheFaces[] = `polyInfo -fv ($YourMesh + ".f[" +…
I know you've already started texturing this bad boy and it would be a pain to go back and change the model, but the overall design and silhouette are lacking. You have a lot of detailed area's in your texture which isn't to say a bad thing but because the basic silhouette is little more than a boxed T-shape the overall…
Hey Scrawld, I think its looking pretty good so far but like you've mentioned there are some proportion issues. A. Should be wider when compared to ref. B. Looks like these should be maybe twice the size. C. Ignore this. Fixing A. fixes this. D. The curve on the back of the handle is too steep. E. This edge looks to sharp…
