That looks about right, but judging by your screenshot you haven't set the Default Color(grey) on the Projection node to match the Color 1/2(red) on the Blend Colors node.
I really liked your 3d visualisation as it is perfectly blended with textures and coloring! The metal texture you have applied on the gun is impressive! All your work is pretty good
Thats an amazing video, im curious how his brush changes opacity so quickly and so smoothly and doesnt leave marks that require more blending like in photoshop
Worked on some sand/dirt texture and did a little vertex Blending testing. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESmaseGkRyU"]UDK - Vertex Painting - Sand - YouTube[/ame]

Definitely tweaking adding a few variations of the meshes as well as adding color variation to them. In that first shot, everything is blending together because theyre all the same shade of green.
I wouldn't. Unless I was using Rage technology. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/MultiTexture#Megatexture For all other games, I'd use tiling textures and texture blending, period.
Hey, your progress is getting along pretty well. It is a bit too bright where the hair parts, maybe you can tone it down a bit and blend in the hair more.
Looks like a great start! I think the highlights on the stones might be a bit much? Maybe have a few that bright, but tone the rest down, or blend them out more?
