Awesome thread, I'm just learning about normal maps baking, thought I would share tutorial which helped me understand the process and it explains how to solve a lot of errors that occure in bakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGszEIT4Kww
Peter's change of power was also a total cop-out. They realized they couldn't have someone powerful that actually wanted to do something, so they made sure Peter was nerfed, then made sure Sylar has no motivation to do dick all. Problem solved!
Hey! Thanks, I believe I understand everything except for the first part: Hm... :poly127: I'll keep trying! EDIT: This issue has been solved; the lower jaw was bound to the joint through smooth skin bind. Thanks again, - Andr
I had the same problem. I solved putting my settings (filter, antialias) to low. But this really sucks, did you wrote to amd? did they answer to you? I hope they are going to fix this, maybe is some issues with windows 7 64bit.
You probably have an 8-bit normal map assigned. If you re-bake it at 16 bit does that solve your issue? Check the sticky thread here :https://polycount.com/discussion/148303/of-bit-depths-banding-and-normal-maps#latest
Hi Scott, No. I am not. I was actually using the whiplash tutorial scene file from you guys. I just can't seem to figure it out. Would love to solve this issue as 2015 is my preferred Max version at the moment. Michael
That is a great help for organization. Thank you for the tip. I did some digging on the forums and documentation and I can solve this problem with a custom written node. I don't know much programming so I might have to bug some friends.
Finished in 6 or so hours on normal difficulty, loved it! I solved the crashing problem I had by simply replaying the chapter that kept crashing. I didn't mind the difficulty at all. Stacking up on ammo, health and armour is pretty important though.
I was planning to bring it into Zbrush and project from there so I can clean up anything that goes wonky manually. What's really giving me problems are the teeth and shirt collar area. It's very tight so I'm not sure how to solve it.
I just started using Modo too about two weeks ago, same issue. Heres a script I've been meaning to test out which might be able to solve the scale issue: http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=41509
