Good feedback on the hair. I started with more "anime" looking eyes but I thought they looked very strange so I went with more realistic eyes but I'd like to give it another try.
take this as a compliment: i don't believe you've been doing this for 1 month and 13 days. you are VERY good for the amount of time you've been doing it. I couldn't realistically model that vehicle.
You need to put some more thought into your moss placement. Slapping right in the center doesn't look realistic. Think about how the moss would grow on the surface and look at lots of reference.
Update on my Uni Project, any feedback would be great, and if anyone has anyadvice on how to get realistic looking reflections on the floor i'd really appreciate. ATM it looks a little like marble.
I can't comprehend how could you make it look so realistic... dunno if it's the specular or subtle reflection, the dof probably helps, but how did you accomplish such great realism is beyond me
Thanks for the crit Jack. I updated the scene with human scale dude. Made the staircase more claustrophobic. Added some more realistically scaled pipes. Still gotta get smaller sized pipes.
finals of my 1st attempt at a realistic sculpt and also getting it to work for real time (self portraight). There was alot of improvements that can still be made but i learnt alot from this. Cant wait for the next !
Unless you have superb anatomy skill/knowledge, you want reference, not just inspiration stuff. How is she supposed to be ? Gather loads of images like that. Pick one for reference. And, is this realistic or stylized ?
Thanks Psyk0 I can say that a skeleton under a mesh is a very good way to build up a solid base for a realistic character. Here is the body so far, I'm working now on the Head :)
If you want to achieve the material you are going for I would advise you to look into the PBR workflow instead of DNS. You will be able to pull off your project goals much more realistically.
