Ah good info Rick. We just started using 8, but hadn't run into that yet. The spotlights trick is so old-school! I remember using it before we had GI, in 1996 I think. IMO the blue channel isn't a great solution since it only darkens on slopes, not in depressions. But like you say it's simliar-ish, so it works OK when you…
[ QUOTE ] Has someone been flying the Aurora again? There was an excellent program on Channel 4 in the UK last night going through the factual history of UFO sightings, and how it has been used by the CIA and the military to throw people off the scent of recon aircraft/spy planes [/ QUOTE ] That 'lifting device' thing was…

Looks good to me and I gotta agree with the earlier comment about being the death of a series. I had fun with BF 1942 but BF2 was by far a much more fun game. I just wish I still had some friends to play with. So many fun times in that game with suicide jeep runs, c4 traps. Damn this work now I want to play bf2 again.
The Disney Strike of 1941 http://libcom.org/history/1941-disney-cartoonists-strike Or we a profession? Compared to what? who isn't a professional? If we wern't it would be illeagal to not pay overtime! http://www.aflcio.org/issues/jobseconomy/workersrights/overtime.cfm This looks like a promising start: ( not sure for…
Great post Sean! It's exciting being a part of the Visceral team and working with DICE. I've been a battlefield player since 1942. Played mostly in DC final, BFBC2, Battlefield 3 and 4. I gotta say, Hardline is just as wonderful as the rest. The gameplay is just as sweet and I still can't believe how good the game looks.…
Update town. Population, me. Sully's plane from the original Uncharted. I was trying to do something in that vintage travel poster style, and his 1940's era Grumman Goose with the pinup decal on the front has style for miles. A first attempt at modular environment modeling. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's super…
I'm doing the mudbox tutorial as well. Are you making the old piller? Yeah fuck meshlab, not intuitive at all. Took a while to figure it out. 1. Load your model 2. Filters>remeshing, simplification, reconstruction>Quadric Edge Collapse 3. Type the target number of tris you want hit apply. Best part, there's no undo…
some games lately im finding very deep like the stanley parable, meanwhile the games that used to inspire me like rome total war and battle field 1942 their franchises have gone on to be nothing but absolute disappointments. its really awful because they often have such a great base formula and can do alot with these…
[ QUOTE ] I think the original NES was just $100, and it's being cheaper than the Sega Master System is one of the reasons it caught on despite having 'inferior' hardware. Then again, it was twenty years ago, and I admit I don't remember so good. I do remember that he first game I bought for it was Kung Fu, and that set me…
