I thought this one was pretty cool, it really showed the character of johnny cage pretty well as that egotistical movie star. I like how they added the washed up element. that ending scene was kinda like the original MK movie. interesting series, super cheesy but its entertaining.
thx for that note, pior...was kinda hoping that spinning the model would work (for lack of space to walk around everything), but I guess not so much. :( ah well. (runs off to create a big tent-like circular structure to bounce uniform light around and occlude background elements)
I am just a noob, but impressed by your work! Well done! From a technical point of view it is perfect in my eyes, but i am missing some different styled props. Maybe something cartoon'y, maybe something with "non solid" elements to show how versitile you are.
Excuse me, but how would I go about hiding an element in Max? Also, would it make Max work any faster? I am asking because the grip I made in front is slowing me down a lot and I need better performance. Thanks in advance.
Are you certain the depth and geometry are created by the shader? It can be done, but at what cost? Unless you are doing something very dynamic, maybe it'd be better to just use an additive material and some creative modeling (modeling a shelled top, shelled bottom, and simple in-between for each element).
Hey there! It wouldnt be a bad idea to get all your forms in place, and then start refining and tweaking. Remember, as an artist you should pretty much always be working from big-->small. Get those elements in place, scaled and positioned correctly, then starting worrying about any details.
Sorry to say, but the first image you posted is from another game, not Azir from League of Legends. You may want to change it, if you're using elements from their character. Also you can create your own armour, but do not directly copy it from an existing concept.
i like the 2nd version over the first version. their are more elements in the scene it adds abit more interest. 1 question is the concept above ground or below.. from bits of the far ground i would say below but u could also argue that its storm clouds.
Speaking for the butterfingers among us: it's quite easy to slip to the third accordion strip when the second one pops out. They would be pretty slick when you unify it with the site -- often the fancy stuff decreases the functionality of a site, but this doesn't and still adds a dynamic element to the whole thing.
Many games today, due to advanced graphics and lack of good ideas, ARE simulators. And a few top selling ones include the possibility of emulating murder without any gameplay elements to justify a reason for it. This is why games such as Gran Turismo don't allow racers to plow through a crowd on the sidelines.
