Thanks a lot Musashidan. the universal manipulator does exactly that. For anyone coming back to this thread through searc, the universal manipulator lets you click on the number of your dimension and modify it.

Subdivide your source mesh in the same way you would if you were modelling a box with a Turbosmooth or Meshsmooth modifier on top - ie. tight loops around the corners and edges.
In max i would create a poly and extrude around the object with the shell modifier turned on. Should come out random if you do it manually, but eh that's just my way.
Hi, have you tried the invert normals comand under Modify/surf.Mesh/invert normals? That sometimes helps when XSI makes objects inside out. Later. Alex
thats the same as the cintiq 21" software. On reading this thread I had a look at mine briefly and could not see the option to bind to keyboard, just to modify the buttons of the cintiq itself.
pretty cool man. I like the idea of a monocle, but you'd have to modify his face to be more like your drawing to make it work. As it is, your model has no cheekbones
