ugh I made the mistake of buying a really expensive and somewhat huge laptop when i first started freelancing. after a year the MB dies and that was it , no more laptop. At least with a desktop you can replace most of the bits.
I did read something on clients from hell where at the end of the project, the artist billed the client for the work they did, the client then replied: "Wait....you want payment? I thought you said you were a FREElancer?"
