Looks like you already made your decision I personally think its a right call if things continue as they are right now [3d is slowing dying ] most jobs will move overseas and probably be automated after that so either way its a good to plan ahead and have plan B
Summer is here so I've decided to continue this thread and start learning how to sculpt again. Here is todays sculpt. Currently using Blenders dyntopo feature untill I buy zbrush. I'm probably going to sit down and learn more anatomy because it's lacking a bit right now,
Just a quick update - I'll be writing about Kindred. I find the little lore there is to be fascinating and really love their concept. I've tried to dig in as deep as I can to their character, though I think having less information than the other characters is nice to allow for more freedom of interpretation. Continuing on!
This is a lot better! You could go a lot further here though. Still lots of wasted vertices. I circled a few. Why double edges? (or are they triple?) No need to continue edge loops across the in-game model. Total waste. Just my opinion of course, take with a grain of salt, etc.
hi sorry for not responding i'd almost forgotten i'd posted here. been really busy recently with another project but am looking to continue with this project in the near future. i really appreciate the crits and i agree there is a lot of work to be done here. will keep this thread updated on my progress thanks.
Hey thanks! Yea that's the main thing I've been getting critiqued on and I'll def go and make those adjustments when school year ends. Here are some more stuff that's WIP that I will continue to refine. I will also take these to a fully painted level instead of a quick monochromatic thing
No problem! Thanks to you too, I also got something out of this. I feel really stupid for not knowing about the updates until now and I will have to find a way to continue my work without breaking Max, but maybe some of my problems with the 2017 version disappear with that last patch.
Hi Noors, Thank you very much for your offer. It is not that I wouldn't accept your contribution, but then where would be the fun of coding? :-) And dont worry; I am just as poor coder as you think you are. I am continually learning it is a never-ending road, here and there. Cheers
Hey Everyone, I'm Garrett Stevens, and I'm working with Ignacio here, as well as Jati, and Clay. I threw together a little WIP sheet to show some of my work so far. I'll be continuing to post progress as well, And I consider any critique or comments highly valuable. Thanks!
Yeah that's a tough question, I have heard of public people that have continued to use their old surname even when it changed after getting married, but if you know this might happen it might a good idea to use something that you know won't change, first name + something more etc.
