very nice, however I think you have too much red on her face, especially around her eyes. With the pale skin, it makes it look like she's done a line of coke and hasn't slept in two days. I suggest darkening the skin tone or toning down the blushings.
Hello and welcome. I am DarkUnicycle and I am back on here once again. We had a few people leave us and we are needing to fill some specific spots. Our project is very simple yet requires a-lot of work. The project we are working on is Project Davyd and it is based in the 1497 time period. Now this game is in the alpha…
This is my first post on polycount and I'd really like some help with loading a model in Source SDK's Itemtest. So, I created a model in Autodesk 3ds MAX 2012. 651 polygons. No bones. I didn't unwrap the UVW and texture it, I just used the material editor to give it colour and effects. I did use raytrace. I exported the…

ack! you're killing yourself with that render. tone down the background.... try.. a 25% grey or something, maybe even with a subtle touch of blue to contrast the general warmth of the object. it's really hard to judge with a bad render. i think you've done a good job, although, yeah, there's too many polies in those…
I'm going to finish this environment I promise! I've gotten the hook pulley system done though I will tone down the metal. The first tree is almost done. I'm just having trouble detailing the leaves so they look good. Gonna finish it up and then keep working on tree 2! The end is in sight! Concept by Etienne Savoie!
I have no idea why people get so worked up over something like this. Polycount is an art forum, not a UN delegation. :p PBR isn't a real thing. It's just a general term/buzz word used for a group of loosely defined standards that have been around in one form or another for 30+ years. As Per said there isn't a global 'one…
Hello! I am making a model of the Triumph Rocket 3R motorcycle and thought I'd share my journey on polycount as well. :) Here are some photos of the motorcycle: The project started around two years ago with the goal to improve my subd modeling skills. Since I'm doing this in my spare time, work on the project has been very…
Most games do both, nearly every character you see in a game is what Maya would call smooth binding. Rigid binding is more like parenting to a node or bone; the entire affected shape would move/rotate with a bone. That said, I haven't messed around with rigid binding much.
Hmm.. maybe I changed it sometime in the past, because you don't need to bind those bones ot the mesh anymore I'd wanted to fix that, and I guess I did at some time! Select mesh. Run CRbakeWeights. Done! It should find out the bones it needs and bind them in for you.
