Thanks guys...i probably try an sas her up a bit. Want to try an stay away from the cliched, large breast and bubble butt look..(not that there's anything wrong with that..haha). Definately more volume on the hands, can't belive I missed those.
It depends on how clean the detail is defined really. Sepia tones don't help that. High speculars on very bumpy stuff makes it look like an rotten eyesore especially when bloom is applied. I've been seeing that far too often lately. lol
You dont have to be a fantastic modeler to get a job, really im sure at some places you dont even have to know how to model at all. But a basic knowledge of modeling and UV mapping would definately give you a much better chance.
Nice work man, though I think the textures could use some more work, like trying to define the actual material/texture of the clothing. Right now it looks like you've just filled every part with a color, but nice work nonetheless.
OH yeah thanks for the crits everybody - especially you KillingPeople - really helped me and pointed out things that I definately would have missed in my rush to get these finished - and consequently got the forms of these creatures loking much better. Much appreciated.
instead of having so many sides dedicated to the roundness of the arms, but those into defining the shape, the "roundness" will never really read nearly as much, so try 8 sides, or even 6 for the arms and put those extra polys into giving the silouhet a cool shape
Dunno if this sucks or not (If they're just going to displace the employees to the mothership in Bby). It would definately suck if people get let go because of this. I thought this wouldda happened YEARS ago when they first acquired them. Seems like odd timing if true.
Love it! What you tried it with a LITTLE more shape in the legs (like the concept), making the thighs a wee bit thicker, down to a nice narrow knee, and then flaring out the hems? As well as defining the shape a little more then the legs would mirror the arm shape.
Mucho thanks for the mini tute (I was going to ask ;o) ). Sometimes we over complicates things I guess (the ball) so this seems perfect for game related content (low cost in terms of money and materials a definate 'plus' for none Pros). *thumbsup*
