They sent out the second batch of invites yesterday! I managed to get in finally, so if anyone wants to play, add Killarai. :) Edit: I didn't get the email, I don't have extra keys unfortunately.. A friend did. :|
Hi! Your groups should be visible in the top right corner of the DDO window, just click the one you want to add materials to and then you´re good to go, note that this require two separate sets of input maps as well :)
Thanks for replying!! I am using LayerBlend, but I want to mix both my Base_normal and my detail normal maps (Grass,Rock,Soil,Dirt) add is running to normal input!! Did you mean something like this?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1484680/spheremap.SFX did a spheremap node once should do the job shaderfx cant convert from tangent to view space first you have to convert to modelspace then to viewspace then add 1 and divide by 2
Textures are the biggest weakness, I would suggest you at least change the main material up. If you don't already use it I would recommend you use dDo Legacy to do the texturing and to add some wear and tear.
I was asked for more information, i did forgot to add the polycount which is 7k and i`m using 2k maps .It`s in-game asset , which i made for personal project , i`m using it for my portfolio. ;)
If you like you can also add unique (aka not tiling) details (like writings etc.) as floaters with their own texture. I think they did something like this in Evolve (remember an post here about how they approach their building).
Woa! That rocks hard Pior! Can't wait to see what kind of a sweet texture you are going to create for it. Is all the normal map detail from the high poly model or did you add some normalmap overlays too?
Much nicer... can't see the new hand though The moss adds more to it than the broken up walls did. What does the sign say? Typically it's no swimming/wading. just curious. Looks like it says Do Not Drink.
as a lighting artist and now especially as a lead i create moodboards for pretty much every map, zone and task I am about to tackle or have other artists tackle. I always have a big pure ref board for each major area that I am constantly adding to while working on with refs and ideas, but before starting a level I will…
