And the adventure continues. Last update was really dark, tried to make it better. I think it is still too bright on the ceiling of each floor (where the blue lights are) so I will mess with that. The bloom is really bright to nothing (no cool misty gradient) so I need to play with that.
What I do to redistribute polygons more evenly is to use the "Reduce Selected" button, using smoothing and whatnot you can also add more polies to different areas. When I need things to be more even I just "Reduce Selected" and continue working.
Actually it looks like 4000 to me, 8000 would seem a bit more dense to me. on a note you could continue to collapse those edges on his legs like you did on the body, your Models silhouet wouldn't suffer. It doesn't really matter though.
i've been sidetracked in the last few months and am yet to re-connect my oculus to my new setup. anyone knows if the new SDK's will continue to work with the DK1? would rather skip DK2 in favour whatever comes after. or is the old model now incompatible?
Hey, so I made a video showcasing the problems I was having following the tutorial. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can properly continue on with the tutorial in creating some awesome terrain! Thanks! :) Couldn't get the video to embed, but got it to in the post below.
also maya doesnt cancel anything immediately for example when rendering or baking it just continues on no matter how many times I hit escape and then eventually decides to quit the task after pretty much finishing the render/bake and that could be 5 minutes, really frustrating.
Thanks all! I did a little color adjust in AE and it does look much better. I'll continue to color correct in my next posts, after I get some more texturing done. I also still need to build the low poly for the gun.
Im just wondering how versatile this sculpting is, for example if Im sculpting a face and find I dont have my edgeloops round the nose quite right can I step down and add/change some loops and then step up and continue sculpting with no loss of work?
Maybe you can do two posts: first: Vital info on contest. Rules, Heros, Prizes. second : additional info, quotes, last month winner, etc... Then it's easy to see the basic rules, if people want more info they can continue reading the second post.
Thanks Uberren! Sorry about not posting forever, this is a really quickly done render to show proportion changes and the base materials that I'm going to continue to work on. I still need to learn how to properly texture more subtle details as well light better. [IMG][/img]
