un-fucking-believable Probably one of the BEST threads of PC ever! Pure awesomeness guys. i love you bobo youve always been a major inspiration man. God bless
I went to http://www.fxelements.com and downloaded one of their blood hits, and then put it on a layer in After Effects and set the blending mode to screen. There's probably a better way, but this was relatively quick and easy given the deadline.
I would say a mixture of geo buildings and image planes in far off distance. height fog should help it blend better. I'm pretty sure that's a dome texture for the Samaritan demo.
the matress might be too shiny and the text just seems like is there does not blend well with the wood. the wood planks are nice though. keep on keepin' on just ride the wave and it will come ut nice.
in that first shot.. city14. on the left-hand side it looks like there is a blue light coming from underneath the door. do you have the checker BSP behind that? it usually bleeds emissive light.
An asset that does exactly that kind of blending would be Vertex tools pro: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/55649 I know that it works pretty fine because I did the demoscene for (and with) it
I think you did a great job and next time i would leave the face in a "rested" state of expression and use shape blends from there. Other than that its a solid peace!
For the overlay option you can use a paper texture image with a certain blend mode, like multiply or overlay, and adjust the opacity to something you like. http://graphicburger.com/12-paper-textures/
Horns might even be better left as separate subtools unless you wanted a perfectly blended transition. Depending on how clean the extrude is and how long the horns are, slice curve is another option.
still a wip, and PLEASE bless me with criticism. I am going to align them in max with a bit more of spacing, rotating and instancing them around to bake a normal map. EDIT: an update :
