The previous of the face was good, mate. The proportions are a bit out of whack now. His chin is enormous and his eyes are rather less realistic than they used to be. I'd recommend just reverting to the older one.
GT:HD from what i've heard is essentially a port of GT4. I could easily be wrong. as for being realistic, forza nailed things alot better. gran turismo felt more arcade-ish
nah not kidding ^_^ just trying to dive right in and start making stuff. There is so much to learn though :( One thing I'm curious about, is it realistic to try making a normal map for this without Zbrush?
Just make some stuff that fits the style, don't have a portfolio that's full of realistic WWII environments. You could model some Warhammer Online concepts, that's what all the cool kids do.
Not bad. The Fat guy look like a giant bubble, but the soldier has some nice details on him. Try adding things like wrinkles on cloth to help the arms and legs look more realistic.
Post your references mate, its impossible to critique you if when you dont post refs and dont seem receptive to comments about realistic proportions. Gotta give people something to work with.
I love your texture style, it gives the model and really great feel. Not too comic'y and not too realistic. A really nice balance. I love that platform as well....its sexy! Great job!
Jesus H! Friggin' awesome work man! I need to finish my realistic characters so I can get back to doing cool cartoony stuff like this! Saved to inspiration folder!
that's getting pretty good here - nice believability feel to it. Dont overwork it now - I like how this is detailed but still feels realistic (details that make sense) Nice work Keep it up chico
Junior Artists do the craziest things without rules. ;) As above with LODs, showing an ability to create realistic game art with the minimum of assets will always be welcomed and a good skill to have. And when frame rate is low you'll be doing it anyway :)
