laptop GPUs are completely crippled - a mobile 3080 is slower than a desktop 3070 (uses the same chip iirc)- in some cases i think it even falls behind a 3060 so don't assume you're getting proper GPU performance cos the numbers say you are. there's no good reason an external GPU over thunderbolt would be heavily… -

mmm, others probably know more than, i... However it depends, if you just finalized a mesh and then posed it and are not happy with the "stretching" and want to correct it by also posing the highpoly in the same way and doing whatever you have to do to figure and correct all that, then, not really. I was always interested in the art aspect of games although it was more intuitive when I was a kid obviously. You can get a head start in the meantime from lots of free places. Besides the hundreds of anatomy charts you can find with google, Zbrush has a model included in the Tools section of Lightbox that has a realistic skeleton and muscles (they are even named IIRC).
