Is it possible to combine groups? I've been looking for a feature like that. Like say I make a group called Diffuse. Then inside I make group A, group B, etc, and then have it spit out DiffuseA.tga, DiffuseB.tga, etc.
erroldynamic Thank you B) Tectonic Thanks. I've already started to mess around with the dudes materials a little bit more, I'll take a look at the keytar when I have some time. Thanks for your feedback.
@komaokc: I think max's default shortcut for "sub-object selection toggle" is Ctrl + B and select similar is pretty useful ( note: you have similar option likes similar edge length, similar face areas, . . .)
Looks like Ubisoft is possibly considering a sequel?? http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/04/23/survey-suggests-rayman-origins-sequel-coming.aspx If so, there is hope for the world not being a smoldering shit hole yet.
My thief/ranger doing his thing. And I let my 2.5yr old daughter make a character. I drove the controller while she made decisions. Pink argonian named, I kid you not, "A and B".
If Shader Forge is not powerful enough, is there any other material editor that is better than it? or at least a material editor to setup the R,G and B alphas so that I can blend textures with it without loosing the realistic reflection feature.
Get a Lerp node(hold L and click on the canvas) and a Fresnel. Plug Fresnel into alpha of the Lerp and two of your colors into A and B and plug Lerp to Diffuse, then tweak fresnel values until you get the looks you want.
to reiterate as simply as possible since it seems some people might be confused, the goal of this is to compare workflows with one another. how does person a accomplish this vs person b, and what beneficial things can we learn from this
Nice explanation Mark!! Thats the issue with alphas. =\ It's either... A) DXT5 with Alpha Blend, looks great but is unlit (more expensive) B) DXT1 Opacity Mask, Hard edge can look shitty but can be lit and cast shadows
Ya seeing this makes me wonder...will the Tully/MoP team be no more? Great work! The Zbrush stuff is really bad ass. Stylizing the hooves to a be a bit more "Clydesdale" in appearance might help balance out the character. B
