Sorry, again my initial image is probably still misleading. I scaled the "profile" spline up to show the shape of it better, and the number of control points. The "profile" spline actually starts out quite small. The nice thing about using the Sweep is that you can just edit the "profile" spline and see the results update… -

In my opinion, get modo. I've been using Max for 9 years, so I'm definitely a Max user, but I don't feel the value is there for somebody who wants to do game art on the cheap. Max costs $3.5k, compared to Modo's $1k.. If you're spending a bunch of money on software, you should feel you'll be supported well - that's one… -

1) The camero looks too much like the new/retro mustang. 2) I am very excited to see one of my childhood favorites brought back and given some high tech lovin. I am more interested in more of a direct translation of the old G1 cartoon (minus spike). I hope they do it without any of the modern anime crap tossed in to try… -

Not much I can say about full movies, but I'd recommend Metropolis. Not -exactly- anime, but it's damn beautiful and a great story. Beyond that, I'd recommend Hellsing and Elfen Lied just because of how short they are. Full Metal Panic's Fumoffu series is also pretty short, 9 episodes I think (I don't have my anime with me… -

bought it a while ago, and meddled around with v 3.0. i created a 9 million poly model forest with voxels, and tried to make it into a polymesh for painting, but well, i guess i don't completely understand how i'm supposed to work the interface. model file ended up at 300mb, and doing anything was so slow and unresponsive…
