I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 17 7000 for 3d work and I've been really impressed by the performance. 17" suits me just fine :D but it is a bit bulky/haevy to carry around. Glossy screen kinda sucks (I mean the glossy finish sucks, display seems pretty solid), I have no idea why manufacturers would want to do that ...… -

Workin' fine for me. Crit wise i'd say you're textures are reading a bit noisy, and your first image has a really heavy contrast that makes it difficult to read the details. I'd be careful about pure black for darks and try to simulate some bounced light to compliment that orange light source at the end of the hallway.… -

Re: 3ds Max 2015: Viewport Resolution low
I just set the resolution to 4096 across the board - are you using a viewport background image or textured planes? I find planes with the ref image applied as a texture look crisper than viewport backgrounds, and Max 2015 is lacking the lock zoom/pan feature previous Max versions had so you can't even use it as a proper… -

I would wait for the 900 series cards to come out, they will be relatively affordable compared to the past pricing of the higher end cards (the 980 should be $450 I think? I paid that amount for my 770 4gb almost exactly a year ago, and its nearly 25% faster). That or get a 770 4gb when the new series comes out, should be… -
