Update: We have lots of work going underway, a new coder and new animator and new 3dartist... We now need the following: ParticleFX Guy: 1) He will be responsible, guess what, creating ParticleFX for weapons and tools 2) Knowledge of Unreal's Cascade system is a must since we'll be creating the effects in the engine 2D…
Hey thanks for the encouragement guys. But it's not a matter of me giving up. It's a matter of how much my family believes I can become a 3dartist. I would personally never give up. I'm still working on this as well as other things but in a couple of days it may all come to an end. It's not really in my hands. Sucks bad.…
Some great pieces in here, those plants are really interesting. I did a tutorial on exotic plants for 3dartist magazine and these would have come in handy.
Peter.3dartist - Thanks! I took into account what you said and cleaned up those circular faces like you suggested, much nicer topology now thankyou :) Konstruct & Lotuseaster - Redid the armour pad with a much higher initial side count to the cylinder and worked out much better, no pinching in the turbosmoothed version now…
Hehehe, ummm for games you create hair with hair planes. http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/ There's a lot of anatomy errors in this but you asked specifically about the eyes, the eyelid has no reason to go beyond the upper part of the iris, it's function is to lubricate and…

With these textures already baked you then create your actual hair using polygon strips. Maya has tools to create spline based hair and…
Thanks for link, any other comments on it? Be nice to get some insight from those in industry. Found this, and looks promising as i like to keep it to Zbrush and Max if possible. http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/
@taffy284 yeah thought about using fibermesh.. I only were reluctand to try, because I fear it might not match the "style" of the more sculpted hair... well only one way to find out!! (thanks for the motivating push). Regarding your mesh. I'm quite sure the artist in your link used this method (or a quite similar one)…
I'm not too keen on the color but I suppose you want to follow the concept. As for more specific critique, first of all, I don't think the hair works right now, the alpha is way too covering and makes it look like leaves, I would recommend doing something like this to make your…
