This must be the only ever thread I saw about Subdivision surfaces on polycount. I for one am glad they retired them since they didn't continue evolving that concept either way. The SplitPolygonTool is still available by command yeah. Just run SplitPolygonTool as a MEL command :)
Coming a little closer to #42, which is when I plan to wrap this up and do private morning warmups instead. I feel like I've gotten most of what I wanted out of this little project. Of course, I'll continue drawing daily regardless...! :)
@3Dloaded I will have to see your work. I haven't discussed this with my friend but I am thinking of putting up a donation page to people can support the group so we can continue making games. A very small salary for everyone if you will.
Thanks for all the helpful advise and i will try and do my best to input all the help you guys have given me and correct the animations. My deadline is this Friday, so what every i cant get done i will continue after deadlines.
So I made some slight changes to this over the past week and decided to continue working on some new pieces. I am pretty happy with this whole thing so far but feedback is always appreciated. As always, thanks for your time and have a great day!
The problem with this being a high poly is that there is no edge beveling. High poly works after things are subdivided. Low poly works because it relies on normals. Currently what you have is neither. I strongly encourage you to understand both forms of modeling as you continue with this.
@JordanN Thank you for the links, I am checking them out right after this reply! @Mark Dygert I will go through the playlist and learn from it. You are right with that assessment of my work, I will continue working and make it better. Thank you for the reply!
Wonder how many times Military Forces have said to their enemies. "Stop making Aircraft carriers! Its such a cliche". If a deathstar design is the most powerful and effective design of the time. They would continue to build them until the design is perfected (without vunerable exhaust ports).
it's super cool start :) and it's funny because I working on Diorama Diablo style so it's funny to see that. but anyway continue and maybe try to add more color variation on your wood and also you can try to put some blue on the AO :) keep it up
My supervisor seemed very confused by the same issue of the problems. He suggested just continuing and writing analysis the result collected then go from there. Might need to reformat the questionnaire at a later date. Thanks guys. Just need 4 more to reach 150 though!
