100 is the max. ZB features are entirely based on the native scale.(this can be gauged by the grid size/unify/default primitive sizes) So if your subtool is too big in relation then the rad symmetry will obviously need to space further to accommodate.
Looks like a default flat projection. Are you sure you're on the right channel ? in RTT>mapping coordinates>use existing channel >whatever channel you've unfold on. Changing the resolution shouldn't have any impact, atleast never seen that...
I have had issues with Viewport 2.0 where all my joints just went bezerk when I moved the viewport, it was only a visual glitch but was hard to look at. As Mialx mentioned try legacy or High quality default.
I don't think your hardware is powerful enough to run all the fancy features in UDK. You should be able to use it, but all the advanced lighting and material things will do strange things, like you see in the default scene.
When you import the normal map into UE4 make sure its compression is set to TC Normal and not TC Default. Edit: Also if end your normal map files with _N or _normal it should set the compression automatically on import.
Somewhat confusingly there's the programs own "shelf" folder which includes default stuff (what you describe which doesn't work), but for your own extra stuff you use: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Substance Painter\shelf
The template is just a preset that define which nodes are create by default in a new graph. If you used the wrong one, simply create a new graph and copy the nodes into your previous graph and get rid of what you don't need. :)
It does, but it's disabled by default to improve performance for 8k painting. At the top right of the 3DO window, there is a dropdown menu called Performance. Click that and enable undo. I'm locking this topic as new users will find problems easier in separate threads.
Don't hate the player! Hate the game. SuperPNG plugin for Photoshop can get you about half the size as the default PNG output. http://www.fnordware.com/superpng/ JPG saved at 8 is still smaller. So that's probably the way to go.
thanks again all!-back in maya- default phong setup, realtime grab-adjusting spec map, some tweaks on the diffuse- the red cloth was a fantastic suggestion guys, tail is back in and I was even able to get it on the same texture.wooooshhh
