Neox - Thanks. I'm a big fan of your art. I'm tempted to try and change the shape language a bit now that I'm almost done. I kept it straight to try and follow the concept. What sort of things would you change? Like flare out the ends of the beams and things like that? Kind of like this? vreza - Other than just lowering…
Check your gpu temp with HWMonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html Also if when restarting your comp the screen appears corrupt then its a vram issue. If itis your gpu, I believe they do sell aftermarket coolors that you could use, but its best to just replace the card outright.
working as an illustrator and using vray for renders I get called a 'renderer'. but really, assholes generally insult people they are intimidated by, meaning you hit a level of artistic awesome that intimidated him, so not all bad eh? and if you want to go the petty way, you could call him a 'flat earth-er'(cause hes only…
Hi Bleetz, There was no one single step by step tutorial for the rigging process that I've seen. I learned a lot by trial and error as I am self taught with most of these items. I watched general maya rigging tutorials like this one when I was getting started: [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNnwGg8xMdU[/ame] That…
Vray is not needed for game assets show off that kind off stuff can be found for free and talking about free i'm pretty sure that autodesk have free licenses for all their student softwares.
Thanks for replying EarthQuake! Do you have the first Gen MBP 13" Retina or a quite new one as people report that the new models around late 2013 perform much better heat wise? I don't mind the fans kicking in with much load, but I can't stand if the device is having a load annoying fan behaviour while just doing some…
Hey guys! Thanks for all of your comments! I'm glad to hear that you liked my works :poly121: brandoom I've used a vray for all renders on website, lowpoly/hipoly/wireframe etc. A different setup for each model to maximize the presentation. A post processing was used in photoshop as well, sharpening and other effects.…
It sort of depends. While procedural textures can save a lot of disk space, they generally have to be unpacked and stored in VRAM the same as any other texture would, so you wouldn't see any performance benefit there, but I don't know enough about how substance files work to say for sure.
Website looks decent but careful with those fonts you use this very thin classy font then add some Bebas for your subpage labels and your headliner has another font again in a different style. Decide for one, and remove that one writing your name on in your headliner about the work, the 2 highpoly shots look very well made…
